Description
Kodak Duaflex II 620 box film camera, USA ca1950, with instruction booklet and box. The Kodak Duaflex II is a twin-lens reflex style camera. It is an improved version of the Duaflex I. It was originally available in the US from 1950. The US version had an f/8 focusing lens, not coupled to the viewfinder. It has aluminum ribbed detail to top and each side of the lenses. On the US model the ribbed detail is enameled black. The corners are rounded, indicative of the Streamline Modern period. The reflecting finder is very large and bright. The finder has a folding hood which was not available on the Duaflex I model. Flash synchronization is by the 2-pin flash contacts on the side and the use of a Kodalite Flasholder. I The Duaflex II is part of a four-model series, I, II, III, IV, all made out of Bakelite. These cameras used 620 film for 2¼ x 2¼ inch square pictures. The camera looks unused. No marks or cosmetic issues, beyond minimal traces of stain on the screws only. Shutter fires. Finder looks very bright and clear. Thank you.
